No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would add Government Code, Section 411.049 which would require the Department of Public Safety (DPS) to compile, maintain, and report statistical information on the prosecution of certain offenses relating to the operating of a motor vehicle while intoxicated. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2009.

The Department of Public Safety anticipates no significant fiscal impact to the agency from implementing the provisions of the bill.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
