No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would require persons having cause to believe that a child's physical or mental health or welfare may be adversely affected by abuse or neglect to immediately report their belief to the appropriate agency. The Department of Family and Protective Services indicates that passage of the bill should not have a significant impact on the operations of the agency.
