No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Family Code related to the collection and enforcement of child support. The bill would also amend the Family Code related to health care coverage for children within the child support program (Title IV-D) and require the Office of the Attorney General (OAG) to develop and implement a statewide program to address the health care needs of children in Title IV-D cases.The Office of the Attorney General indicates that any additional costs associated with implementation of the bill could be absorbed within existing state resources.
