No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Insurance Code relating to insurance agents that sell Medicare-related products. The bill would require the insurance agents to fulfill additional continuing education requirements and would require the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) to adopt rules pertaining to the continuing education requirement. TDI anticipates any additional work resulting from the passage of the bill could be reasonably absorbed within current resources.
