No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code and the Probate Code relating to reporting and application requirements regarding certain public and private guardians. The bill would change the reporting requirements for private professional guardians, guardianship programs, and the Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) guardianship program to coordinate and streamline the information reported to the Guardianship Certification Board at the Office of Court Administration and county clerks, and the dates the information is due. To the extent the bill would amend reporting and requirements for guardians, no significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would take effect September 1, 2009.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
