SB1134 by Duncan (Relating to the authority for certain high school students to serve as election clerks.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Education Code and the Election Code to allow certain high school students, under certain circumstances, to be excused from classes to serve as election clerks.

With approval, the student election clerk would be able to use their time served as a requirement for a school project or as a service requirement for participation in an advanced course program.


Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
