The bill would amend Health and Safety Code, Chapter 777, to update legacy names of the Commission on State Emergency Communications (CSEC), the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) and the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC).
The bill would update Section 777.001, which designates the six regional poison control centers, to replace Northwest Texas Hospital of Amarillo Hospital District with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
The bill would also repeal Section 777.011, which would abolish the regional poison control services account.
Any costs associated with implementing the provisions of the bill would not require additional state resources.
