No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Election Code to authorize a candidate for a judicial district office to be filled by voters of only one county to file required reports with the authority with whom the candidate's campaign treasurer appointment is required to be filed instead of filing with the county clerk.

The bill would amend the Election Code to authorize a specific-purpose committee supporting or opposing a candidate for or holder of a judicial district office to be filled by voters on only one county to file the required reports with the political committee's campaign treasurer rather than with the county clerk.


Local Government Impact

Provisions of the bill would create an administrative savings for the counties. No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
