IN RE: | SB1212 by West (Relating to granting limited state law enforcement authority to special agents of the Office of Inspector General of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.), As Engrossed |
The bill would amend the Code of Criminal Procedure to grant special agents of the Office of Inspector General of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs the powers of arrest, search, and seizure for any felony offense under the laws of the State of Texas.
The Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education anticipates no significant fiscal impact to their agency.
