SB1303 by Seliger (Relating to the requirement that certain state and local governmental entities designate a firearms proficiency officer and require weapons proficiency.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Occupations Code to require agencies that employ one or more peace officers to designate a firearms proficiency officer, and require all officers demonstrate firearms proficiency annually.  It has been determined that costs associated with implementing the bill would not be significant to the affected agencies.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
