No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would prevent a student in grades K through 12 who fails to meet current minimum class attendance requirements from receiving a grade in that class and would make conforming amendments to related provisions pertaining to credit recovery options and processes by which students may appeal denial of credit due to failure to meet minimum attendance requirements.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
