No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Government Code relating to the terms of the members of the Court Reporters Certification Board. The bill would staggers the terms of the members of the Court Reporters Certification Board (CRCB), which is appointed by the Supreme Court and provide that the Supreme Court prescribe a method of transition to staggered terms. To the extent the bill would affect terms of CRCB members, no significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated. The bill would take immediate effect if the bill receives two-thirds the vote of all members. Otherwise, the bill would take effect September 1, 2009.
