No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code and provide that the Texas Veterans Commission to attend transition assistance programs conducted by the U.S. Department of Defense in the state and distribute information to the veteran population within the state. In addition, the Department of State Health Services and the Health and Human Services Commission would be required to disseminate information regarding the health care benefits available to veterans. It is assumed that any additional costs associated with implementation of the bill could be absorbed within existing state resources.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
