IN RE:
SB1474 by Nichols (Relating to compensation for certain emergency services personnel.), As Introduced
No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would extend from 12 to 18 months the time that certain emergency services personnel who are exempt from earning overtime by the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) could use their compensatory time. The bill would authorize state agencies to pay all or part of the compensatory time accrued by certain emergency services state personnel during an emergency.
It is assumed that costs associated with implementing these requirements could be absorbed within existing resources.
Local Government Impact
No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
