No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill amends the Family Code and provides that the Office of the Attorney General shall pay for the documented unsuccessful attempt of the county for the costs associated with a sheriff or constable serving certain court orders. It is assumed that any additional costs associated with implementation of the bill could be absorbed within existing state resources.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
