FROM:
John S. O'Brien, Director, Legislative Budget Board
IN RE:
SB1574 by Hinojosa (Relating to the requirement that the county clerk of certain counties prepare a written records management and preservation services plan.), As Introduced
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would remove from Section 118.0216(e), Local Government Code, the requirement that the county clerk in a county that is adjacent to an international boundary prepare an annual written plan for funding automation projects and records management and preservation services performed by the clerk. It would also remove the requirement to hold a public hearing on the plan.
Local Government Impact
Although removal of these requirements would result in a savings, no significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
