IN RE:	SB1678 by Hinojosa (Relating to ownership restrictions on the holders of permits and licenses authorizing the sale of alcoholic beverages.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Alcoholic Beverage Code by adding Section 109.5305 to exempt facilities owned by a municipality or county from certain provisions and any rules adopted by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) prohibiting subterfuge ownership of a license or permit or the premises covered by a license or permit.  The bill would take effect September 1, 2009.

 

TABC states the bill would have no significant fiscal impact to the agency.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
