IN RE:
SB1679 by Hinojosa (Relating to the authority of a common purchaser that transports natural gas by pipeline to use a public right-of-way for a pipeline.), As Introduced

No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Natural Resources Code to require a common purchaser that transports natural gas by pipeline in relation to a municipal street or alley only with the consent of and subject to the direction of the governing body of the municipality.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated from any activities a municipality would have to take in response to a request for consent and direction from a common purchaser.
