SB1747 by Duncan (Relating to billing practices for certain health care facilities and providers.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Chapter 324, Health and Safety Code, relating to requests from third-party payors to health care facilities and providers for itemized statements and other information. The bill would also add sections to the chapter related to payments to preferred providers. The bill would take effect September 1, 2009. The Department of State Health Services indicates that costs to implement the provisions of the bill could be absorbed within existing resources.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
