IN RE:	SB1775 by Whitmire (Relating to the Texas Rangers' Unsolved Crimes Investigation Team.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend Government Code, Section 411 which would establish the Unsolved Crimes Investigation Team within the Department of Public Safety (DPS) as a program within the Texas Rangers. This bill takes effect immediately if two-thirds of the members in both the House of Representatives and the Senate vote to approve this bill. If not, the bill takes effect on September 1, 2009.

DPS anticipates no significant fiscal impact to the agency.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
