No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend various sections of the Election Code to restrict the merging of precinct lists of voters and to provide for more notification of precinct conventions. Counties would be allowed to post information on precinct conventions on the county website. The bill would provide more clarification of procedures for obtaining contact information, selecting a precinct chair, and notification of selection at a precinct convention.

The bill would take effect September 1, 2009.
