IN RE:
SB1892 by Gallegos (Relating to the licensing of court interpreters.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation to adopt rules regarding the licensing of court interpreters and providing the minimum score an individual must achieve on the examination to qualify for a license with a basic designation or to qualify for a license with a master designation.

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation indicates duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
