SB1920 by Jackson, Mike (Relating to the membership of the Advisory Board on Cosmetology.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would increase the number of members serving on the Advisory Board on Cosmetology at the Department of Licensing and Regulation from five to seven. The bill would require the additional members to include one educator from a secondary or post secondary beauty school or program and one member who holds a specialty license or certificate. The bill would require the presiding officer of the Texas Commission of Licensing and Regulation to appoint the additional members as soon as practicable after the effective date of the bill.

The Department of Licensing and Regulation indicates the duties and responsibilities associated with implementing the provisions of the bill could be accomplished by utilizing existing resources.
