IN RE:
SB1945 by West (Relating to the issuance of a citation to an owner of real property for a violation of a county or municipal rule or ordinance.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted
No fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend the Local Government Code to require a county or municipality issuing a citation for a violation of a county or municipal rule or ordinance related to real property to mail notice of the citation to the property owner at the address most recently provided to the county or municipality by the property owner or by the employee of the owner or management company.
Local Government Impact
A county or municipality would incur costs that would vary depending on how many citations are issued.
