No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill amends parts of Chapter 160, Family Code to allow for gestational agreements to involve one intended parent; it also makes certain requirements regarding gestational agreements, depending on the marital status of the intended parent or parents. It is assumed that any costs to the Department of State Health Services related to issuance of birth certificates can be absorbed within existing resources.

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
