No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.
The bill would amend Transportation Code, Chapter 521 to require the examination of driver license applicants to test knowledge of motorists’ rights and responsibilities in relation to bicycles. The bill would take effect on September 1, 2009.
The Department of Public Safety anticipates no significant fiscal impact to the agency.
