IN RE:	SB2136 by Eltife (Relating to provision of surplus lines insurance.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Insurance Code relating to provisions of surplus lines insurance and would require the Texas Department of Insurance (TDI) by order to declare eligible surplus lines.  Based on analysis provided by TDI, any costs associated with the implementation of this bill could be absorbed within existing resources.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
