IN RE:
SB2183 by Gallegos (Relating to the appointment of an interoperability coordinator in the division of emergency management in the office of the governor.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would require the Governor to appoint an interoperability coordinator of the Governor’s Division of Emergency Management (GDEM). The interoperability coordinator would be responsible for coordinating communication during disasters and developing and implementing an interoperability plan in consultation with state, local, and law enforcement agencies. It is assumed that costs associated with the bill could be absorbed within existing agencies' resources. The bill would be effective September 1, 2009.

Local Government Impact
