No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code relating to the jurisdiction and operation of the district courts in McLennan County. The bill would specify that the district courts in McLennan County would have concurrent jurisdiction with the county courts and statutory county courts within McLennan County. To the extent the bill would specify concurrent jurisdiction, the rules change is not anticipated to increase the workload of the court system. The bill would take effect September 1, 2009.

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
