No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code and provides that funds recovered by the Attorney
General’s Office as civil penalties pursuant to an action under the Business and Commerce Code are
to be credited to the judicial fund for certain approved programs providing civil legal services to the
indigent. It is assumed that any costs associated with implementation of the bill would not be
significant.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
