No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would amend the Government Code relating to the confidentiality of certain information pertaining to the State Commission on Judicial Conduct. The bill specifies which pieces of information involving the Commission on Judicial Conduct are to remain confidential. To the extent the bill would identify which pieces of information are privileged, the rules change is not anticipated to increase the workload of the Commission on Judicial Conduct. The bill would take effect September 1, 2009.

Local Government Impact

No significant fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
