IN RE:
SB2329 by Hegar (Relating to the abolition of the Edwards Aquifer Legislative Oversight Committee.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would abolish the Edwards Aquifer Legislative Oversight Committee.

The committee is composed of members of both houses of the legislature and is required to examine and report on the effectiveness of the state and local governmental entities regarding the Edwards Aquifer Authority. The committee is also required to provide oversight and review of activities related to the authority. It is anticipated that any savings from abolishing the committee would be insignificant.

Local Government Impact
