SB2406 by Zaffirini (Relating to additional compensation for certain state employees.), As Introduced

No significant fiscal implication to the State is anticipated.

The bill would authorize the legislative branch of state government to pay recruitment and retention bonuses to legislative employees who meet the requirements provided in statute.  Current law allows only classified state employees to receive these types of payments.  The current limit of $5,000 would also apply to legislative employees receiving these payments.

Local Government Impact

No fiscal implication to units of local government is anticipated.
