SB1062 by Shapiro (Relating to creating an online resource center for individuals handling child abuse and neglect cases.), Committee Report 1st House, Substituted

As a result of this bill there will be no significant restriction upon:

(1) the open records law; or
(2) the access to government information.

The bill would amend the Family Code to create an online resource center for individuals handling child abuse and neglect cases. The online resource center would include an interactive Internet website providing timely informational materials, and communications tools pertinent to child abuse and neglect cases that would be priveleged and confidential. The bill would take effect September 1, 2009.
