Pursuant to a notice posted on March 18, 2009, and revised on March 23, 2009, the House Committee on Appropriations met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Pitts, at 4:33 p.m.

Trusteed Programs Within the Office of the Governor
The chairman laid out the subcommittee recommendations for Trusteed Programs Within the Office of the Governor.

Representative Otto moved the adoption of the subcommittee recommendations for Article I as amended. The motion was adopted without objection.
Article VI
The chair laid out the subcommittee recommendations for Article VI pending items and riders.
Representative Herrero moved to adopt the Special Needs Park rider. The motion was adopted without objection.
Representative Otto moved to adopt the subcommittee recommendations for Article VI as amended. The motion was adopted without objection.
Article V
The chair laid out the subcommittee recommendations for Article V pending items and riders.
Representative Riddle moved to amend the subcommittee recommendations for the Adjutant General by deleting Item 3 (Additional personnel to provide counseling services to soldiers) from Article XI. The motion was adopted without objection.
Representative Riddle moved to amend the subcommittee recommendations for the Juvenile Probation Commission by adding $500,000 to Item 6 (Juvenile Case Management System). The motion was adopted without objection.
Representative Riddle moved the adoption of the subcommittee recommendations for Article V as amended. The motion was adopted without objection.
Article IV
The chair laid out the subcommittee recommendations for Article IV pending items and riders.
Representative Riddle moved the adoption of the subcommittee recommendations for Article IV. The motion was adopted without objection.
At 7:06 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned.
