Pursuant to a notice posted on March 20, 2009, and revised on March 24, 2009, the House Committee on Appropriations met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Pitts, at 4:28 p.m.

School for the Deaf
The chair laid out the subcommittee recommendations for the School for the Deaf.
Representative King moved the adoption of the subcommittee recommendations. The motion was adopted without objection.
School for the Blind & Visually Impaired
The chair laid out the subcommittee recommendations for the School for the Blind & Visually Impaired.
Representative Aycock moved the adoption of the subcommittee recommendations. The motion was adopted without objection.
Special Provisions for the School for the Blind & Visually Impaired and the School for the Deaf
The chair laid out the subcommittee recommendations for Special Provisions for the School of the Blind & Visually Impaired and the School for the Deaf.
Representative Villareal moved the adoption of subcommittee recommendations. The motion was adopted without objection.
Teacher Retirement System
The chair laid out the subcommittee recommendations for the Teacher Retirement System.
