Pursuant to a suspension of the 5-day posting rule and an announcement from the floor on February 18, 2009, the House Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Education met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hochberg, at 8:06 a.m.

The committee reconvened at 1:35 p.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hochberg. The roll was answered as follows:
