Pursuant to a notice posted on February 25, 2009, and revised on February 27, 2009, the House Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Education, Subcommittee on Education, met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hochberg, at 8:21 a.m.

 

Present:           Representatives Hochberg; Aycock; King, Susan; Morrison; Villarreal (5).

 

Absent:            None (0).

 

A quorum was present.

At 9:55 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed until 1:30 p.m., March 4, 2009.

 

The committee reconvened at 1:50 p.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hochberg. The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Hochberg; Aycock; Morrison (3).

 

Absent:              Representatives King, Susan; Villarreal (2).

 

A quorum was present.

At 3:34 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed until 3:45 p.m., March 4, 2009.
