Pursuant to a notice posted on March 4, 2009, the House Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Education, Subcommittee on Education, met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hochberg, at 8:22 a.m.

 

Present:           Representatives Hochberg; Aycock; Villarreal (3).

 

Absent:            Representatives King, Susan; Morrison (2).

 

A quorum was present.

At 9:57 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed until upon final adjourn./recess, or if permission granted, during reading and referral of bills.

 

The committee reconvened at 12:04 p.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hochberg. The roll was answered as follows:
