Pursuant to a suspension of the 5-day posting rule and an announcement on the House floor on March 16, 2009, the House Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Education, Subcommittee on Education, met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hochberg, at 8:17 a.m.

A quorum was present.

At 9:54 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed until 12:30 p.m., March 18, 2009.

 

The committee reconvened at 12:45 p.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hochberg. The roll was answered as follows:

Absent:              Representatives King, Susan; Villarreal (2).
