Pursuant to a suspension of the 5-day posting rule and an announcement on the house floor on March 2, 2009, the House Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Business & Economic Development, Subcommittee on Business and Economic Development, met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Giddings, at 8:19 a.m.

 

Present:           Representatives Giddings; Button; Miller, Doug (3).

 

Absent:            Representatives Chavez; Darby (2).

 

A quorum was present.

At 9:48 a.m., on the motion of Representative Darby and without objection, the meeting was recessed until 30 minutes after adjournment/recess.

 

The committee reconvened at 12:29 p.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative Giddings. The roll was answered as follows:
