Pursuant to a notice posted on March 23, 2009, the House Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Business & Economic Development, Subcommittee on Business and Economic Development, met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Giddings, at 8:18 a.m.
Present: Representatives Giddings; Darby; Miller, Doug (3).
Absent: Representatives Button; Chavez (2).
A quorum was present.

At 9:20 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed until 30 minutes after adjournment/recess.
The committee reconvened at 1:40 p.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative Giddings. The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Giddings; Button; Chavez; Darby (4).
Absent: Representative Miller, Doug (1).
A quorum was present.

At 2:30 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed until 30 minutes after adjournment/recess.
The committee reconvened at 3:10 p.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative Giddings. The roll was answered as follows:
