Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 7, 2009,  and pursuant to permission granted to meet while the house is in session, the House Committee on Border & Intergovernmental Affairs met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Gonzales, at 7:11 p.m.

Representative Moody moved that SB 874, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
