CORRECTED MINUTES

 

 

On April 17, 2009, the House Committee on Business & Industry authorized the correction of the  minutes for the meeting of the House Committee on Business & Industry held on March 16, 2009. The following are the corrected minutes for that meeting:

 

Pursuant to a notice posted on March 11, 2009, and being granted permission to meet while the house is in session during the reading and referral of bills on March 16, 2009, the House Committee on Business & Industry met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Deshotel, at 3:48 p.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Deshotel; Christian; England; Gattis; Giddings; Keffer; Orr (7).

 

Absent:              Representatives Elkins; Miller, Sid; Quintanilla; Turner, Sylvester (4).

 

A quorum was present.

The chair recalled HB 1162 from subcommittee.

 

Representative Christian moved that HB 1162, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

The chair recalled HB 978 from subcommittee.

 

Representative Keffer offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
