Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 21, 2009 and permission received to meet while the House is in Session, the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Gallego, at 10:16 a.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

The chair laid out SB 385.

 

The chair explained the measure.

 

Representative Vaught offered an amendment to the measure.

 

The amendment was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Vaught moved that SB 385, as amended, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
