CORRECTED MINUTES
On May 26, 2009, the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence authorized the correction of the minutes for the meeting of the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence held on May 22, 2009. The following are the corrected minutes for that meeting:
Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 22, 2009 and permission received to meet while the House is in Session, the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Gallego, at 5:15 p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Gallego; Christian; Miklos; Moody; Pierson; Vaught; Vo (7).
Absent: Representatives Fletcher; Hodge; Kent; Riddle (4).
A quorum was present.
SB 1835
The chair laid out SB 1835.
(Representative Hodge now present.)
The chair explained the measure.
Representative Vaught offered an amendment to the measure.
The amendment was adopted without objection.
Representative Vaught moved that SB 1835, as amended, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Gallego; Christian; Hodge; Miklos; Moody; Pierson; Vaught; Vo (8).
Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Fletcher; Kent; Riddle (3).
At 5:19 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
