Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on March 16, 2009, and permission received to meet while the house was in session during bill referral, the House Committee on Technology, Economic Development & Workforce met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Strama, at 3:27 p.m.

Representative Gattis moved that HB 762, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
