Pursuant to a notice posted on December 3, 2009, the House Committee on Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hunter, at 10:28 a.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Hunter; Hughes; Alonzo; Branch; Leibowitz; Lewis; Martinez, "Mando" (7).

 

Absent:              Representatives Hartnett; Jackson, Jim; Madden; Woolley (4).

 

A quorum was present.

 

The Chair made some opening remarks and discussed the interim charges.

 

At 10:58 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed.
