Pursuant to a notice posted on October 26, 2010, the House Committee on Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence, Subcommittee on Austin Redistricting, met jointly with the House Committee on Redistricting, Subcommittee on Austin Redistricting, in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Jim Jackson, at 10:02 a..m.

 

Present:           Representatives Alonzo; Hunter; Jackson, Jim (3).

 

Absent:            None (0).

 

A quorum was present.

The House Committee on Redistricting, Subcommittee on Austin Redistricting, was called to order by the chair, Representative Jones, at 10:02 a.m.

 

Present:           Representatives Deshotel; Jones (2).

 

Absent:            Representative Villarreal (1).

 

A quorum was present.

 

Chairman Hunter addressed the audience. The following members were present: Representatives Howard; Harless; Hilderbran; Pena; Hughes; and Naishtat.

Representative Jones addressed the audience.
