Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 20, 2009, the House Committee on Licensing & Administrative Procedures met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Kuempel, at 12:10 p.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Kuempel; Geren; Gutierrez; Hamilton; Menendez; Quintanilla (6).

 

Absent:              Representatives Thompson; Chisum; Jones (3).

 

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out HB1474.

 

Representative Kuempel offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The chair recognized Representative Geren to explain the measure.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Hamilton moved that HB1474, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                             Representatives Kuempel; Geren; Gutierrez; Hamilton; Menendez; Quintanilla (6).

 

Nays:                             None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).

 

Absent:                          Representatives Thompson; Chisum; Jones  (3).

 

At 12:12 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
